It provides a unique and structured learning opportunity for students to gain valuable research or project experience in a healthcare setting and encourages students to consider a future career in the fields of ageing and geriatrics. 5	UHN STAR-EM: Summer Training and Research in Emergency Medicine	The UHN STAR-EM (Summer Training and Research in Emergency Medicine) Program is a summer training program for undergraduate medical students that advances the goal of cultivating and supporting research in emergency medicine through education, specialized training, and sustainable presence of collaborating researchers in the Emergency Department (ED). This is a 10-week focused research program where time will be divided between undertaking work on summer research project under the mentorship of a UHN Emergency Medicine faculty member, attending in the ED to support ongoing emergency medicine projects, shadowing ED physicians, and attending the weekly STAR-EM program curriculum. 7	UHN Toronto General Hospital Multi-Organ Transplant Student Research Training Program	The Multi-Organ Transplant Student Research Training Program (MOTSRTP) provides exceptional students with the opportunity to gain exposure to the clinical and research components of organ transplantation. MOTSRTP Trainees partake in educational and clinical research activities relevant to the care of transplant patients. These educational activities include educational seminars/workshops and clinical observations in outpatient and inpatient settings. Students are also assigned to research and quality projects applicable to transplant care and patient engagement.	Apply to the program. 8	University of Toronto Comprehensive Research Experience for Medical Students Summer Research Program (CREMS)	The Comprehensive Research Experience for Medical Students (CREMS) Summer Research Program provides opportunities each year for medical students enrolled at the University of Toronto to participate in a full-time summer research project between their first and second year, or second and third year of medical school, under the supervision of a faculty mentor. 9	University of Toronto Computer Science Undergraduate Summer Research Program (UGSRP)	The Undergraduate Summer Research Program (UGSRP) provides opportunities for undergraduate students to be involved in research projects in the Computer Science Department at U of T. Students have the opportunity to attend a series of talks about research in the department and present their work in a poster session at the end of the summer. 10	University of Toronto Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy Undergraduate Summer Research Program (USRP)	The Undergraduate Summer Research Program (USRP) allows participants to spend 12 to 16 weeks conducting research under the supervision of a Pharmaceutical Sciences faculty member. Research areas include molecular basis of drug targets and diseases, drug development and disease diagnostics, drug safety, health services research and clinical pharmacy research. 12	University of Toronto Medical Biophysics Summer Student Program	The Department of Medical Biophysics runs a Summer Student program for undergraduate students interested in interdisciplinary biological, medical and cancer research. This program provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to gain experience in biomedical research and to learn about the graduate program offered by the department. 13	University of Toronto Research Application Support Initiative (RASI)	Research Application Support Initiative (RASI) is an initiative through the Community of Support (COS) at the University of Toronto with the goal of increasing diversity in research and healthcare. It is designed to help COS members with research interests through providing workshops on how to apply to reesarch positions, one-to-one mentorship, and support in indentifying paid research roles. 14	University of Toronto Temerty Centre for AI Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM) Summer Student Research Program	T-CAIREM is committed to funding the next generation of researchers in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medicine. The goal of this program is to introduce undergraduate and medical students to AI research in health and encourage them to pursue careers that use AI to make biomedical discoveries, improve clinical care, and create better health outcomes. 15	Amgen Scholars Program at the University of Toronto	The Amgen Scholars Canada Program is a fully-funded opportunity for undergraduate students across Canada to participate in innovative biomedical research with world-renowned faculty at the University of Toronto. Over the course of this 10-week program, Amgen Scholars will develop the skills necessary for graduate school and for careers in science through a combination of hands-on research alongside faculty, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students, participation in lab and professional development activities, and relationship building. During the program, the 15 Amgen Scholars will be housed at U of T’s historic St. George campus in downtown Toronto. 17	Mitacs Globalink Research Internship	Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates from the following countries and regions: Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States.
