39 | Edgar is fairly lean - no surprise, considering what he is. He has short blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. He usually wears just a leather jacket, some plain cloth pants and boots. | It is said that long, long ago, the Damascus family excelled in Wild Magic, simply shaping metals into whatever tools they needed at the time, worshipping the Golems, for they, too, shaped the world around them as they now shape it - they even tested their arms against one another as a challenge: whoever's shaped tool broke against the other's first would be the loser. However one day, they lost their gift, meaning that they could no longer do what brought them great recognition. Despite that, they worked hard, and while they were in a poor spot at first, they regained their gift in the form of Symbol Magic, continuing on their ancient legacy and passing on some of their family traditions. Or so it is passed down as Edgar's father always tells him and his two siblings - a brother and a sister - although he hardly believed it then and to this day, he doesn't. Although while some detalis were, in fact, exaggerated and twisted over time, there's always some truth to every myth. Being part of the smithing family in Attica, he was no exception to having to learn the tools of the trade. And learn he did, crafting equipment with steel as if it were clay. He truly enjoyed working with metals, even if he didn't follow his father's teachings very diligently, so many assumed that his proficiency was a product of either talent, independant hard work or both. Eventually, however, they chose to relocate to another of the Three Nations, assuming that maybe, just maybe, they could earn more over there. They moved north, to Galla. Further on, he had to learn how to use his equipment as per tradition, as the challenge has changed to not simply stand and attach each other's weapons, but a duel with blunted weapons, made by both parties in one day - whoever could no longer battle lost. Shortly, now that he knew, he was challenged by both of his siblings at once in public in a fit of jealousy over his apparently superior skill in magic despite putting in less effort. So the duel was had and Edgar won, with a superior weapon over two of them and seemingly greater strength and skill, too. As the siblings ran back to their rooms, despairing over how they can't seem to be able to do anything, he couldn't help but feel bad for them, even if they asked for it, questioning if he was simply this talented and if he should've held back. His feats didn't go unnoticed. On the next day, he found that he got the attention of a recruiter with that 2v1 duel. Weighing his options, he considered - were he to join them, his family name would earn more renown and, although indirectly, his family would likely earn more profit. He could also get a chance to look for some answers, to make sure it is (or isn't) just talent that has lead him so far, proud of it as he was. So he joined the knights. As he did, however, he was given a Pokeball containing an Aron, obtained through the pooled together efforts of his family, wishing him luck now that his siblings had calmed down some. | |||||||||||

41 | To put it simply, Edgar is rash and proud. He will often do things without thinking and will never back down from a challenge. That said, he also has some degree of kindness in him, which usually makes him feel guilty after he just showed someone up really hard. Even still, he tries to do the right thing. | Of course, any knight would wish to do their job as one. However, Edgar also seeks to bring renown to his family name and, if he were to ever find it possible, get some knowledge on his 'talent'. |
