Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)Class presentationThe Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is offering presentations for educators, students, and families throughout the school year on the drug use and trafficking issues impacting our community as well as career opportunities within law enforcement. See below for info about each presentation and how you can sign up your classes. Fentanyl, Opioids, and Naloxone: DEA and SAY San Diego will discuss fentanyl, risks of opioid use, how to recognize symptoms of an opioid overdose, and how to use naloxone to reverse the overdose. SAY San Diego will distribute naloxone at no cost to educators and students if requested. This information can help save a life.
Juvenile Drug Smuggling: a presentation provided by the DEA, U.S. Attorney, San Diego District Attorney, Homeland Security Investigations, and Customs and Border Protection covers the dangers of drugs and how drug cartels recruit young people into their ranks. The presenters share the effects of the drug trade on our communities, resources to help families avoid involvement in drug smuggling, tips for student safety, and advice on what to do if you are already involved in drug smuggling.
Careers in Law Enforcement: this presentation teaches students about different careers in the DEA. It covers both law enforcement and non-law enforcement careers.

The challenge provides FREE ready-to-use materials and guidance to inspire students to take action around climate change, environmental justice, and sustainability. Students can complete the challenge as a class, in small groups, or even individually. The competition has the following format…

Over the course of 5 days, students will receive hands-on public health training from HHSA professionals to learn how to combat San Diego's most critical public health issues, including Tuberculosis, Epidemiology and Immunization Services, HIV, and Mental Health. The camp will expand students' understanding of health careers beyond hospital systems, providing an excellent introduction to public health occupations and a professional network.
