NameBenedictMany consider him a con artist. Even more people call him a lunatic. Regardless of what others call him, Benedict is not a man who cares much about the opinions of others. As far as he's concerned, he lives in his own bubble and does not want any sort of close interaction with anyone else outside of research purposes.

Benedict is the result of what happens when one tampers with the Moon's power too early. Benedict used to be a gentle, if not impatient and somewhat prideful man. However, his insistence with learning dark magic before he was ready (due to his distaste for the practices at Enfirian colleges: he particularly cites the slow pace of learning and the awful uniforms) resulted in his brain getting scrambled. He will pursue a subject for hours on end if he needs to get an answer. He will seemingly need to run an errand for something at random periods and go off on his own to do them— usually oddly specific reagents for his magic, but other times nobody can tell why he's buying what he's buying. Most notably is his obsession with Manaketes or those with draconic blood— when seeing one, he will insist on studying them and asking them an uncomfortable amount of questions. While he isn't harmful in his insistence, he definitely sounds creepy and most tend to shy away from him. At the very least, however, he can proudly say that he outwardly disdains anyone who views Manaketes as abominations— calling them prejudiced idiots afraid of change who also envy not having the ability to breathe the elements. However, his insistence on studying them is a dehumanization in a way that Benedict doesn't realize.

Despite his insanity, Benedict is actually good at what he does. The reason for his traveling is due to his proficiency in medicine, which he experimented with as a young man before learning dark magic. His proficiency for the dark arts have led him to greater heights with his medicines, granting him cures for things that nobody had even heard of. However, his medicines are often viewed as snake oil, and only the truly desperate and gullible will use his medicines. Usually, they will find that his medicines will work like a charm. Sometimes, however, they don't always quite work and might actually make things worse. For that reason, and for the reason that Benedict rarely stays in one place and keeps resetting his reputation, very few recognize Benedict as a proper doctor. That does not, however, stop him from calling himself one.		A pale man standing at about 5'9". Has medium-length, uneven black hair that drapes over his face and leaves his forehead exposed. Also has round glasses— Benedict claims that he cannot see far away without them. He has piercing black eyes and a face that rarely changes expression from perpetually thinking about something.

He is often seen wearing black scholar robes with a white shirt and dark gray pants underneath. The robes are pinned together at the top by clasps; otherwise, they hang out and expose the shirt and pants. He wears a traditional Dark Mage body stocking underneath his robes and clothing— citing it as 'comfortable underwear' that he will gladly wear but does not understand why all self-disrespecting Dark Mages have to be nudists in a public environment.
