29 | We are Looking to help out a family that has been impacted by such a terrible event and has lost their home in the recent fires. We own a small secluded cabin in a very rural area just outside of Laytonville, CA on a 200 acre piece of land. This cabin has not been lived in for many years and will need some work in order for someone to live in it. It’s a 3bdrm, 3 bath, large living room, and washer/dryer mud room (approx. 1800s/f total). At one time, it was a very nice cabin but nobody has lived there for many years. Most of the work needed would be non-structural improvements. From the picture (attach a photo), you will see that the outside has been remodeled with new windows and paneling. The inside needs a new kitchen and some clean up. It has electricity and spring fed water. The only heat would come from a central wood burning stove. This would be ideal for a couple who is retired and is very handy with remodels. Initially, we are willing to trade rent for working hours (we would pay for materials). You would probably need a camper/ trailer to live in until the place is livable. Its around 30min from town on a dirt road so it would not be ideal for someone who has to go into town on a regular basis and will need a 4 wheel drive in the winter to access the dirt road. We will not tolerate any type of “growing or production of marijuana”.
