Coding enthusiasts in Years 7 and 9 were treated to an opportunity to develop their robot battle craft whilst gaining an insight into writing code in JavaScript.

David Miller and his team from Kuato Studios brought along their newly developed application, Hakitzu, for the students to trial. Armed with an iPad, the aim of the game was to select, equip and name your robot then challenge an opponent from the published list which was created by fellow combatants. The victorious robot lived to fight another day. The students needed to use code to manipulate their machines and fire their weapons. A slow coder risked annihilation.

It was an exciting time for all involved and the students were then shown how to download the application so they could hone their coding skills ready for a re-match.
