6210-1-1BantamA SilverBantamA SilverA GoldA Silver152874The hope is that we are assigned a division where the level of competition is comparable to our team. I feel that the Silver Division is that division. There are 4 returning players from last year, 6 players that came up from the peewee team, and 5 players that are new to travel hockey. 2 of the 4 returning players, are in their second year of travel hockey. This is an inexperienced, small team. Size is a real concern. We did play an exhibition game against Owensboro, and it was a struggle. It is unfortunate that we did not play any of the gold teams in the proposed division. We all would have better information. This team can skate, but there are two concerns at this point. The overall level of experience of these kids at the Bantam level, and that they are an undersized team. I feel these kids will struggle against gold teams who are bigger, faster, with more experience at this level. Thank you for your consideration.

85Pee WeeA GoldBantamA SilverA GoldA Gold1716129I request that there be no changes to our division, we as a coaching staff believe this is the best Buckeye has ever done with creating divisions. We accept the bump up to gold as long as you don't make major changes as you did to us last season. It is difficult for any coaching staff to agree to terms that are subject to drastic change.

543-7-2SquirtA GoldPee WeeA GoldAAA Gold131775We played 4 Silver teams in the Seeding Tournament. Owensboro for example, played 5 teams that are in or qualified for AA and went 4-1. Columbus Capitals-Balemian went 3-2 and beat 2 AA teams. The 07/08 Findlay team played Gold last year and went 3-7-2. The 06/07 team 2 years ago went 8-10-2 and finished the regular season 4th out of 6 teams in the Gold division. Our 07 goalie is new to travel hockey, our goalie from last year moved up to Bantam. Playing at the Gold level will be more of a balanced season rather than AA.

200-0-0SquirtN/APee WeeAAAAA Gold13215010We were unfamiliar with BTHL seeding and realize now we should have registered as A Silver. Did not know there was no distinction between minor/major.

Seeding games we played were played predominately in our zone and we were badly out shot. Both wins were last second breaks off mistakes from other team.

We have a short bench of all minor BY players, most (12) playing a full travel schedule for the first time. We wish to play a challenging schedule, but one we can compete fully in. We have also just lost a skater for minimum 4-6 weeks with a broken arm.

Looking at the initial divisions, we feel A Gold would give us a better chance of remaining competitive while challenging our players to improve.

7210-4-6Pee WeeA BronzePee WeeA SilverA SilverA Bronze1525129Please consider moving our team to the 12UA West Bronze. We were a Bronze level team for the 2017 - 2018 season and expected to be Bronze for this season. No one from our team was consulted before being put in the seeding tournament as a Silver team. When you look at the seeding tournament results we noticed you moved down one Junior fuel team from gold to silver after they went 1-3 with a goal differential of -2. It would seem logical if you moved the team above us in our organization it would only be fair to move our team down after posting a 1-2 record with a goal differential of -4 and a record of 0-2 with a goal differential of -6 against silver teams. Both situations are the same but you moved one team down and did not move the other down. The two teams we lost to were placed in silver 1 but of the teams in silver 2 we go in with the worst seeding tournament performance. We faced poor and unsafe conditions at our tournament and were told that would be taken into account.

7512-9-3Pee WeeA SilverBantamA BronzeA BronzeA Silver112676We were 2-0-2 in the seeding tournament where we played 4 Silver teams (Miami, Louisville, Columbus(IN) and the Jr. Fuel). All of these teams are Silver. We also have played Evansville already this year and lost 3-0. and Owensboro and lost 4-1. Both of those teams are Gold. We feel Silver would be an adequate division that would test our kids and give them the most opportunity for growth.

152N/ABantamN/AA SilverA BronzeA Silver1119321. We’re far more competitive than what the results showed at the Seating tournament
2. We have one of the youngest teams so, first time exposure to full ice hockey for many of our players at the seating tournament but we have caught on quickly
3. Our players will only get better if continuously challenged in the Silver division as opposed to Bronze division even if it means losing a few games. It’s not about wins and losses but about development of players and their competitive spirits
4. There is already Indy Racers Team in the Bronze division
5. We will only get better in the Silver division

1440-14-2SquirtA SilverSquirtA SilverA SilverA Gold1325109Originally, we were gun shy about being in the gold division when asked about it. After consideration and talking with the team's families, the best spot for this group for their long-term development, in our opinion, would be at Gold. We do apologize for any confusion that we may have caused due to the original request.

15-17-2Pee WeeA SilverPee WeeA SilverA SilverA Gold1510168We were 3-0 (albeit one goal games) against other A teams in the seeding tournament, our loss in the seeding tournament was to a team that was assigned to the double-A division, a few weeks ago we scrimmaged against another gold team (CAHA) and the teams were even.

966-4-2Pee WeeA GoldPee WeeA GoldA GoldAA162998We believe over half of our team to already be AA caliber and the other half very close behind. There are several kids on our team that came to us from a neighboring association and we were unsure of their skill level at the time of the Buckeye application. That is part of the reason we petitioned Gold. At placement, our team did very well against AA teams and the competition seemed to be evenly matched. Our goal as an organization is to grow and develop our players. We think the best way to do so is to play against teams that are truly competitive. Playing in the AA division this year would push our toward that growth. To my knowledge, Owensboro rarely petitions for a division change and we would not do so now if we did not truly believe that the AA division was the best fit for our team. Thank you for your consideration.

15105-14-1Pee WeeA BronzeBantamA SilverA SilverA Bronze132875We played 2 bronze teams in the seeding tournament and we split. Each was a 1 goal differential. Earlier we scrimmaged with the Indian Hill bronze team and it was a 1 goal differential. We had multiple goal losses against the silver teams in the seeding tournament. We played better against Jr Fuel but was in our Zone the majority of the game and out played physically. I watched the Columbus Flames games and we are not a match for them either. Our team physical size is on the small side. After seeding I had 3 with injuries. Petitioning to be bronze for a competitive league based on the 3 bronze games we have played so far. Call if needed 513-207-6583
Thanks David
