Year-Round!Enchanted Forest Project AOEC Brunswick, ME We are excited to continue work on the Enchanted Forest Project! We have a lot of projects in the woods, from clearing brush to improving trails to building boardwalks and other creative elements. Please contact us if you are interested in getting your hands dirty this summer with some trail work!

Year-Round!Horizons Climbing ProgramEVO in Portland and Maine Bound in OronoWe are looking for volunteers to belay climbers during our climbing sessions! Volunteers must get belay certified at the gym they plan to help out at. If you do not know how to belay but are interested in learning we can set up a time for you to take the Intro to Climbing course. Upcoming climbing dates found here!

June - September Horizons WaterskiingCamp Tracy, Oakland / Petersen Waterskiing, KingfieldJoin us for some fun waterskiing this summer! This includes providing waterskiing support and paddling support. *Lodging and meals provided for overnight camps!2023 Waterski Program dates found here!

June - September (Mondays and Thursdays)Horizons Sailing Program SailMaine in PortlandWe are looking for passionate skippers and first mates to volunteer with this program! The program runs Mondays from 1pm - 4pm and 4pm - 7pm and every other Thursday from 1pm - 4pm. Please click here to complete the volunteer application through SailMaine!

1st and 3rd Wednesday, September - December, 4pm - 4:45pm Horizons Music: Inclusive Music with 317 Main St. AOEC Brunswick, ME Come have some fun with this active music program! Volunteers will be there to support participants in following along with instructor, Mo Barrett!

1st and 3rd Friday, September - December, 11am - 11:45am and Noon - 12:45pm Horizons Music: Adult music with 317 Main St. AOEC Brunswick, ME This music program is open to participants of all abilities and aims to provide an engaging music-making experience where musicians are free to express themselves creatively. There are two sessions on Fridays. Volunteers are welcome to join at either or both sessions.

September 9th & 10th Horizons Water Sports Camp Camp CaPella, Dedham, ME Join us for a day or the weekend at Camp CaPella in Dedham! We will provide activities such as waterskiing, paddling, and pontoon boat rides! *Camping provided if you'd like to volunteer for both days.

September 24th Horizons Golf Demo Day AOEC Brunswick, ME This program will run from 12pm - 3pm. We will have three stations set up for folks to learn more about golf and try out their swing and stroke. Volunteers will assist at stations, helping folks learn the basics of golf.

October 13th AOEC Brunswick Open House AOEC Brunswick, ME Join us for a fun day of recreation! This program will run from Noon - 4pm. We will have various stations set up such as archery, fly casting, rock climbing, and more! Interested in helping out at a specific station? Pleaes let us know!

December 15 - 17Horizons Ski Program - On Mountain Training AOEC Carrabassett Valley, ME We ask that all Horizons Ski Volunteers join us for a weekend of on snow training at Sugarloaf Mountain! This will equip volunteers with the skills and knowledge to best prepare them for the winter season ahead. We will cover disability awareness and etiquette, provide training on tethering, ski basics, working with individuals with autism, and a clinic of guiding individuals who are blind or visually impaired. *Lodging, meals, and lift tickets provided.

December - AprilHorizons Ski Program Sugarloaf Mountain, Hermon Mountain, Camden Snow Bowl, Big Rock, and Saddleback Mountain Volunteer will help skiers of all abilities progress their skills on the slopes! Our program structure varies at each mountain. Please inquire to learn more! *Lodging provided at our Sugarloaf program!

July 11th - 14th, 2024Wheel Together Retreat AOEC Carrabassett Valley, ME Join us for a retreat weekend in Carrabassett Valley! The Wheel Together Retreat is geared towards individuals living with spinal cord injuries. Volunteers will help with weekend activities such as work out classes, outdoor recreation, workshops and more! *Lodging and meals provided.
