What is a doctoral representative?

As a representative, you participate in meetings and advocate for the opinions of doctoral students on various issues. The different tasks can range from research ethics, education, the library, to curriculum and employment matters. As a representative, you have voting rights in matters discussed. In many forums, the meeting language is Swedish, but English is used when necessary.

Many of these roles are paid and/or grant the right to prolongation (if both, the doctoran representative will get both compensation and prolongation). You will also receive a certificate from the student union confirming your role as a representative.

To be a doctoral student representative, you need to be a member of StuFF or LinTek, which you automatically become if you are a member of LiUPhD.
