Recieving a shipment procedure - "Procedure is standard, as with (Fedex, UPS, etc...) at the time of a receipt of a cargo, if customer see's any damage to an outside packaging, they are supposed to refuse or note damages in writting prior to signing for merchandise. Same thing applies to an air freight shipment, at the time of receipt of cargo they are (customer or his broker, reprersentative) must to do a Damage Report with an airline and Customs representative, right at the spot, which are usually signed and stamped by authorities and an airline rep, as well as the customer or his rep. If these step were not done and an airline has no record of damage to a shipment, than they can kiss their insurance claim good bye."
