Hagan Scholarship FoundationIn honor of Ruby Bridges’ inspiring legacy, the Benicia Public Library is excited to announce the Ruby Bridges Poetry Contest. This creative opportunity invites students to reflect on the question: "Who deserves an American education?" through original poetry.
Open to middle and high school students, the contest features two age categories:
Middle School, High School Participants have the chance to win a grand prize of $100 and two $25 runner-up prizes** in each category. Poems should be submitted via the online form at https://bit.ly/rubybridgespoetry by November 2nd.

Student-athletes are selected based on exemplary sportsmanship, school/community service, and leadership. The awardees will be chosen from a pool of applicants who satisfy the following
