The Cal Water Engineering department has multi-discipline professional engineers with experience in water distribution and production system design and operations optimization, acquired through managing concurrently various complex major water infrastructure projects, such as activating advanced potable water treatment plants and installing new pressure optimization transmission pipelines while managing municipal engineering services contracts.||The objective of the Capital Delivery Engineering Intern Program is to provide an enriching experience to Engineering students, promote Cal Water at local schools, and serve as a development opportunity for Capital Delivery Engineers. The intern will provide support in project management, data management, analysis and typical engineering job tasks under the guidance of a project manager within the Capital Delivery Engineering Department. Projects may include wells, tanks, pump stations, pipelines, and treatment plants. Projects may be new installations or modifications to existing facilities. |Torrance||The work hours are Monday – Friday with continuous block of time between the hours of 8 AM – 4:30 PM. The specific block of time/s will be determined both by the Project Manager and the selected intern. For the Summer, the intern is required to work a minimum of 20-hours per week. During their school year starting in the Fall, per week, the requirement is 8-hours in the office and 12 hours remotely (there is some flexibility here for hours reduction depending on the complexity of the project/s) at their school location for a total target of 20-hours per week.|

2. Administration and Fundraising Internship: Many of New Earth's programs are run with the help of high-level volunteers. This intern would have exposure to all of New Earth's programs and really get to see the inner-workings of a nonprofit and the juvenile justice system. Intern will help with day-to-day administrative support in the New Earth Arts and Leadership Center.
