|Weather update: division 1 (and now 2) has passed off successfully, but conditions on the reach are deteriorating and we are now recommending that small boats (singles, doubles, pairs) consider scratching unless they are experienced in high wind / wavy conditions. The same goes for any inexperienced fours or quads.|
As usual, this is my best-guess at a sensible order.
College boats are in Mays 2018 order but with artful interleaving of the sexes in places.
Town crews are based on self-reported speed and guesswork.
Interleaving of town and gown is based on guesswork and prejudice.
Time only crews are not eligible to win categories but are eligible for fastest M/W crews.
Particularly for 1x, entries can adjust their order in the marshalling area if it becomes obvious that there is a speed disparity; marshalls will be aware of this.
The "draft" draw is now saved off in another tab, if for some reason you're feeling nostalgic.
|Weather warning! All crews should have received an email from us pointing out that the forecast is predicting strong winds for Saturday. We will be monitoring the situation carefully, but at the moment the race is still fully on.|
We would ask all competitors to be patient and sensible, particularly at marshalling. Crews can have a refund if they contact us to pull out because their coach / cox are not comfortable with the conditions.
