Water Jug- 1 gallon
- Provided by school for incoming marchers
- Use the link if you are a returning member and need to replace your water jug.
- Labeled with your name
- Given (filled and washed) on the first day of Summer Band
Hydration is essential to being healthy and safe throughout the marching season. It is non-negotiable to arrive at rehearsal with a clean, and full water jug for proper hydration. After the first time a member receives their water jug, it is their responsibility to clean, fill up, and manage. A student should treat their water jug as essential to rehearsal as bringing their instrument and/or music.
6
Marching Instrument- Kept in your designated locker/storage space
- Brought to every rehearsal
- All issues must be reported to the directors, if school-owned
Students must bring and take care of their marching instrument with the same care and attention they treat an "indoor" instrument. In the case that the instrument is school-owned, the program depends on the reliability of students to help maintain the longevity and quality of the instrument.
7
Binder with Music- Paper copies are provided, in-person, by the program
- Electronic copies of music will be posted online in the "SRPMB 24-25 Google Classroom" throughout the summer, to be used in emergencies.
Students will be provided with a fully stuffed and organized binder when they arrive to Summer Band Camp. Students will be told how to navigate their binder, keep track of their music, and request lost music/different parts while at Summer Band Camp. After the binder is in the student's possession, it is their responsibility to keep track of and manage it.
8
Flip Folder with Music- Provided by the program, fully stuffed
- Included three rings for binding
Throughout the marching season, students are expected to bring their flip folder with all stand tunes to all pep band events. It is crucial that members have their music with them at all times, and this portable method of reading off music is the best way to have their materials ready at all times.
9
Instrument Lyre- Used to attach flip folders to the player/instrument
- Specific to your instrument
In order to operate efficiently and correctly with flip folders, all members must use lyres to attach their music to their instruments. Please use the links provided to purchase the correct lyre for your marching instrument.

Cooling Towel(s)- This towel can be soaked in cold water (provided at rehearsals) and hung around the neck to provide extra cooling
- Lightweight and meant for outdoor athletic use
- Should be washed regularly to avoid hygiene issues
- Recommended/example towel is linked.
This item is great if you have extra concerns about the heat during the summer. The towel not only covers the back of the neck from the sun, but is designed to stay as cool as possible for as long as possible to help your student manage body temperature.
43
Liquid IV- This is a drink supplement that students can put in their filled water jug or in a water bottle they can have separately.
- This particular drink supplement helps ensure your student has enough electrolytes to power them through long days in the heat
- Packs come in various mild flavors
If you are worried at all about your students' physical endurance in the sun or for long blocks of time, we recommend Liquid IV as an addition to their water consumption. This will help replenish electrolytes and boost hydration, which is especially crucial if you find that your student may be more succeptible to feeling faint.
44
Hydrobrak Light 50oz Pack- This is a wearable pack a student may wear to drink water whenever they would like
- This is the most lightweight version of the CAMELBAK packs, which would work best with our marching band demands
If you find that your student may need extra hydration/water breaks in addition to the carefully administered breaks we give the entire group in rehearsal, consider getting them this equipment to ensure they can drink water without leaving the field/rehearsal.
