4	LEVO Credit Union Scholarship	Eligibility: Entrants must be a member of Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union in good standing, or meet the eligibility criteria and become a member prior to submitting the entry form. Sioux Falls Federal Credit Union employees, volunteer officials, affiliates and their relatives are ineligible. The applicant must show proof of enrollment before scholarship funds will be disbursed. Submission Requirements Each entry must include the following documents: • Completed and signed application form. • Letter of recommendation from an unrelated person who is familiar with the applicant’s community. • Personal video or essay on your community service activities. 5	Lennox Lions Club Scholarship	The Lennox Lions Club Community Service Scholarship was created to help students support their educational plans. Two (2) senior students will receive a $500 scholarship. The Lennox Lions Club is founded upon the principle of “We Serve” and would like to recognize the youth in our community who exemplify that principle of service in their lives. 11	The South Dakota Retailers Association scholarship program	The South Dakota Retailers Association scholarship program is designed to provide assistance to students studying for a career in retail and hospitality businesses, whether as an owner, manager, or employee. 13	HonorsGradU Scholarship: Design A Better Future	Design and work on a community improvement project, using the website checklist as a guide. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors planning on attending an accredited college or university in the US. Additionally, students must have met all of the requirements described on the website. Students don’t have to have a minimum GPA to apply. In fact, we don’t even look at the GPA. All we look at is the work pertaining to the student’s project. This is because we know that grades do not always reflect a student’s potential or ability to contribute to society. 14	Evie Kahnke Memorial Scholarship	This scholarship has been established in memory of Evie Kahnke. Evie, the daughter of Chad and Hollie Kahnke, and sister to Emily and Charlie Kahnke, was an outstanding student-athlete and well rounded individual acitve in sports, FFA, 4H and her religion. She lost her three month battle to Acute Myeloid Luekemia at age 17, just days after her high school graduation. This scholarship is open to SD students who were active in extra curricular activities through all of his/her high school years and plan to pursue a career in teh ag industry. 18	Sioux Falls Business & Professional Women Scholarship	The Sioux Falls Business and Professional Women’s Organization awards annual scholarships in the amount of $500 to women pursuing a post-secondary education. 23	PB&J Scholarship	The PB&J Scholarship is for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed. Examples of personal challenges include, but are not limited to: medical issues peer issues: bullying, change of school, minority status, etc. family issues: divorce, death, lack of income, homelessness, foster care, abuse, etc. When in doubt, students are encouraged to apply; this scholarship is meant to be inclusive. Jenssen Scholarship Application	To be eligible for the scholarship you must meet all of the following criteria: -be a resident of the state of SD and a high school senior OR be a resident of the state of SD and enrolled in an engineering program at South Dakota School of Mines or South Dakota State University for the upcoming academic year -Be a US citizen . -Have a parent, grandparent, sibling, uncle aunt or cousin employed a minimum of 3 years (or retired) with the South Dakota Deparment of Transportation. -Have a current high school GPA of 3.0 (based on 4.0 grading system) or higher OR a minimum of a 3.0 GPA at School of Mines or SDSU if currently attending. -Demonstrate ability to become an asset to the engineering field. -Must not be a relative of James H.
