Important Undergrad Hours Log Instructions

- Log sheets are due to your supervisor at 9 pm on the final day of classes for the semester.

- Late reported hours or incomplete log sheets may result in not getting credit for those hours.

- Working in multiple locations? Use one sheet to report all hours.

- One student per sheet.

What counts towards research credit hours?

- Initial orientation/training.

- Zoom meetings with supervisors or other students.

- Work (both remote and on-site) that is assigned by your supervisor.

- Readings assigned by your supervisor.

- Online mandatory trainings (examples: CITI-HS, HIPAA, Mandated Reporter and MRI safety).

- FAN meetings count as 1 hour.

- Working on a FAN makeup assignment count as 1 hour.

- Plagiarism/Generative AI readings.

What does NOT count towards research credit hours?

- Working on your final semester project! (This is a separate academic requirement.)

- Reading for final project.

- Travel time to or from work.

- Homework, texting, sending non-lab related email, or personal conversations.

Logging hours

- Round your time to the nearest 15 minutes!

- Report your hours in hour increments! 90 minutes = 1.5

Google Calendar logging (if your study uses an "Undergrad Shifts" G-cal)

- Please use our shared "Undergrad Shifts" calendar to reflect time you worked.

- Supervisors will use this as a check with the Google doc.

- Please adjust calendar to reflect actual time worked even after the date has passed.
