Cup 1: peach, milk chocolate, cherry cordial. Slight roast in finish. Cup 2: cherry syrup, orange cranberry. A little drying bitterness on tip of the tongue. Cup 3: peach, milk chocolate, white flowers, soft, delicate. Cup 4: nougat, almond, maraschino.

Cup 1: Uh whoah. Tastes like it has huge fruit, but then immediately hits a really hard vegetal quality. It tastes a lot like potato defect. I had Nate, my cupping assistant check to see if it was rwandaan or burundian and it wasn't. Brewing again as it tastes like a major defect and like the rest of the coffee has a lot to offer. // UPDATE on second cup... basically the same thing though the vegetals were toned down, but so was the fruit. Cup 2: astringent, drying dark chocolate, sweet cherry, orange. Has a nice acidity but is overwhelmed by the roast qualities. Cup 3: dark chocolate, nougat, toasted almond.
