| DISCLAIMER: I'm a lazy bitch and this is not very scientific, I don't have recorded data for a lot of this stuff, but people keep asking and I do keep track of div/h and such for myself so I'm just making this as a sort of summary. I'm not some massive strategy guy so I'm sure this can be made better, but I have literally been running this strategy for the entirety of 3.27, which at the writing of this document is over two months, 12+ hours a day. So if nothing else at least I've done it a lot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The div per hour listed here is all relative to my character, with each map clocking in at around 5 minutes, and I run all map mods, only regexing out a couple t17 mods I find annoying.

| If you want to do red altars, just swap the blue altar nodes for the red equivalent ones, as far as I know (assuming equal relative weightings) they're basically the same, you're just giving up the div altars from blue, which are so rare they're basically insignificant to overall profit. Drop Chiselled Perfection if you're doing 8 mods or anything without quality. I don't like the boss lane blight nodes on this strategy, feels like it replaces a lot of good mobs with not very many ok ones, have not been impressed. And yes, I do think bismuth is good enough to warrant dropping that many increased scarab nodes, but I could see that going both ways.

| Scarabs | ||||||
| 1x Invigoration 1x Blightheart 1x Blooming 1x Bloodlines 1x Risk
| I think all these scarabs are mandatory except Blooming. Blooming is the best performing fifth scarab from my testing however adds a lot of difficulty. If you don't have the single target dps needed for the blooming bosses, you can swap it for either a Monstrous Lineage or a Wisp scarab. I personally prefer Lineage, and was running that exact setup for quite a while, loot is only slightly worse with the benefit of making the maps relatively pretty easy. I personally would never drop the Risk scarab, it's very strong. Settlers on map device for bismuth ore.
| |||||||
| Maps | ||||||
| What maps you run matters a lot, there are two types of maps I've found to be the best for this strategy.
| |||||||
| 8-mod 16.5 | 6-mod 30% quality deli 16.5
| Here you just run 8-mods you either farm yourself or buy off trade. I tended to look for maps with around 140+% scarabs and over 100 quantity and would buy any around or below a div. The problem with this strategy is the difficulty in buying large quantities of good 8-mods off trade for a reasonable price. During the first month of 3.27 these ended up being very competitive, and basically the only way for me to reliably get them for a decent price was to have live searches running like 16 hours a day and constantly snipe mispriced ones. This worked fine but probably isn't something a lot of people would enjoy. | 8-mod maps 140%+ Scarabs 100%+ Quant Gold per map: 300k-2m 34-40 div/h profit at 5min/map | 6-mod deli maps 140%+ Scarabs 30% quality (Craicic Vassal) Gold per map: 300k-2m 40-45 div/h profit at 5min/map | This is my favourite setup at the moment. Here you roll the maps yourself, then deli orb them, then use the craicic vassal beast craft in order to corrupt them and give them 30% quality. This is default chisel quality and won't work with maven chisels. The extra quality works really nicely with the Chiselled Perfection atlas notable. For these maps I roll for either 140+% scarabs when six modded, or 120% scarabs if it also has a good currency roll. I then apply 5 currency deli orbs. Obviously you'd just drop some deli orbs if you find that difficult, I doubt it affects profits much. The big benifit of these maps is you no longer have to constantly be live searching 8-mods, and also they do just kinda seem to be more profitable.
| |||||||
| |||||||
| I do not think running scarab chiselled split 6 modded maps is worth. I've tried this multiple times using the same sort of setup as the 30% maps and each time they have performed significantly worse than even the 8 mods.
| |||||||
| Gameplay | ||||||
| First of all annoint your rings with this enchant (Verdant oil, black oil)
| |||||||
| General gameplay loop is, enter map, immediately rush bismuth and boss, then clear the map for altars. Click good altars, quant, scarab dupe, etc. (Dupe altars do work on the blight mobs) Then do the blight. For the blight, you just want to build as many Empowering towers as possible for the Invigoration scarab. I usually place a Chill/Stun tower at the pump and then do the rest empowerings. But you can put more or less down if you're struggling. Upgrade all Empowerings to level 3, do not upgrade them to level 4 until the very end. This is because at level 4 they become another tower and will lose the increased range from your ring anoints, therefor giving you less overlaps and less loot. However the hordes that the towers leave behind after completion do get better if the towers were tier 4, so if you're crafty you can wait until there's only a couple mobs left in the blight and then run through and click them all up to tier 4.
| Layouts | ||||||
| The blight layouts you get matter a lot, generally more lanes/towers = better, and the more overlaps with your towers = better. Because of this you generally want to run this strategy on big open map layouts like Dunes. You can get anywhere from 1-9 lanes in a blight. This is by far the biggest RNG factor of this strategy, good layouts are significantly better than bad layouts. Generally the more spiral-like your layout is the better.
| 16.5 Petal powers | ||||||
| I generally try to save them all for the blooming bosses. Not a ton of these really do much of anything for the strategy but none are bad, so you can always just freely click whatever you have without worrying about it. There's one notable exception and that's Memory of Disbelief, this will noticeably increase the amount of scarabs you get from the mobs and is really good. Remember to use it if you get it.
