Six of the nine buildings flooded. Pumps from the sewage plant half a mile north of the campus backup causing the floodwated to be contaminated. The buildings are biohardardous spaces. The Library is on the main floor of the library building. We lost everything: print collection, furniture, technology, etc.
At this time we do not have space for material. We appreciate montary donations: www.lonestar.edu/harveyrelief - add "Library" in the notes field if you want your donation to go to the Library.

All three of our libraries (lower, middle and upper) were flooded. We lost all carpet, shelving, book displays along with book supplies (label protectors, book jacket cover, Kapco book covers) along with our Lone Star Book collection for this current year, and 300 high school fiction books. We have relocated to a church.
