Her is a description of my position: A community living specialist (CLS) is Senior LinkAge Line® staff designated to work with the Return to Community initiative, a research-based initiative available at no cost to non-Medicaid consumers. Senior LinkAge Line® community living specialists provide in-person assistance to help the following consumers understand and access available services to return to or stay in the community setting of their choice.

During COVID we are not doing any in person visits right now and only helping via phone but hopefully we will be returning soon. I think of my position similar to a case manager. I am a social worker and I service Wright and Sherburne County. We do have Community Specialists all over the state. I provide more one on one assistance which provides more check in calls and help connecting to different resources and supports as needed.
