Major events are defined as the Pride Parade and Saint Patrick's Day Parade that lead to major road closures in Midtown Atlanta, as well as home football games at Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Clark Atlanta University, and Morehouse College held at stadiums within a mile of a MARTA Rail Station. This is not an exhaustive list.

Although MARTA often announces "special 20-min. schedules" for the Green and Blue Lines, there is no observable differences in train timetables, according to documents reviewed by The Xylom.
