Governor’s STEM ScholarsN/A yetApplicants must be enrolled full-time in a New Jersey school, in grades 10-PhD program. Students must be entering 10th grade in fall 2017 and not be graduated from their PhD programs until May 2018.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate some leadership qualities either through participation in school programs or community activities. Leadership does not have to pertain to STEM, although this type of leadership would be helpful to a candidate.
Applicants must demonstrate an interest in STEM either through course takings or other extracurricular activities.
Applicants must commit to attend all four conferences. Conference dates for the 2017-2018 school year have not yet been released and will be provided as soon as possible. All conferences will be held on Saturdays.

New Jersey Scholars ProgramJanuary 10, 2018JuniorsThe New Jersey Scholars Program (NJSP) is an intensive academic program for 39 of the most intelligent, outgoing, and highly motivated students. The program requires students to claim residency as well as attend high school in New Jersey as well as complete their junior year in June of 2018.During the five-week summer residential program, the Scholars will explore a specific topic from an inter-disciplinary perspective. The tuition free program takes place on the historic Lawrenceville School campus - there is no fee to the student other than personal expenses. This is a highly competitive scholarship in which the high school must submit a nomination to the University of Virginia.
