Why call? The NYS Legislative session ends June 8th, and NY HEAT, an important climate bill that would lower energy costs and invest in green heating and cooling systems like heat pumps is still on the table. So is the Climate and Community Protection fund. Join us to push them both over the finish line! These calls really matter, and yes, you can call more than once!

Instructions
3
1. Sign up below for a time slot on May 31. Please include your email so we can send a reminder. (Bonus points: Share this action with others!)
4
2. On May 31, use the script below to make your calls. Then, briefly share how it went in the "Notes" column. (Fine to call outside business hours - just leave a message!) People in the same home can make separate calls - you're separate people! :) - so mark your names separately on this sheet. Just first names for kids is great!
5
3. Pass the baton: text or email the next person on the list to let them know it's their turn. Thank you! (If you have any questions or technical difficulties with the spreadsheet, email info@climatefamiliesnyc.org
6
Want to double your impact? Take a pic of yourself (looking sweaty perhaps?) on the phone to post on social media. Tag @climatefamsNYC and use #ClimateJobsJustice #NYHeat, and we will amplify.

For kids: Hi, my name is _____, and I live in _____. I'm __ years old. I'm calling to ask the (Governor/Leader/Speaker) to pass the NY HEAT Act and the Climate and Community Protection Fund to help NY kids and kids everywhere. We deserve a livable planet! (Please feel free to say more if you wish!)
13
For adults: Hi, my name is _____, and I live in _____. I'm calling to ask the (Governor/Leader/Speaker) to pass the NY HEAT Act (A4592 / S2016A) before the end of session. NY HEAT will lower utility bills for working New Yorkers, invest in clean heating and cooling systems and stop fossil fuel projects being funded by taxpayers. Our state needs climate action and affordable energy with the NY HEAT Act now! I'm also calling to ask that you pass the Climate and Community Protection Fund (A06263 / S5360A), so that state can fulfil the mandates in the CLCPA. We owe it to all of our children to provide safe and healthy communities. (Please feel free to say more if you wish!)
