Artists are required to sign this contract upon delivery of artwork for the show, releasing and holding harmless. HAC reserves the right to curate the final artworks to be exhibited. No nudity, images of violence, or political or religious artwork will be accepted.Art sales will be conducted by the Hayward Arts Council, which retains a 20% commission on all sales made during or because of the exhibition. HAC will collect and pay the appropriate sales tax to the state. Payment for sales will be mailed to the artist within 30 days of the close of the "Art in the Family" exhibition. HAC will be responsible for exchanging artwork with the buyer.Publicity will be provided by the Hayward Arts Council. Images of artwork may be used in social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. In addition, images will be used in the HAC monthly newsletter. I hereby release and hold harmless the Hayward Arts Council, City of Hayward, its Board of Directors, employees, and volunteers from and against any and all liability for any and all damage to or loss of my art on display, and for copyright infringement(s) in the distribution and publication of photographs of the artworks for purposes of “Art in the Family.” exhibition.
