Greetings, Commander!
Current statistics/progress
11

Let me guess that the fact of your arrival here can be a sign of at least your slightest interest in all the mysteries surrounding the so-called “Tip Off” missions. Or, maybe, you are just curious about related in-game mechanic? Ready to share some information about you own discoveries in that domain? Then you have just arrived at the right place!
However, before we begin, I'd like to warn you about two important things.
First of all the archives by their very nature can be regarded as spoilers - they contain maps, text log messages and other information gathered by commanders along the years (see, there is a list of them on that board). If you think that this information can spoil your own in-game experience - stop here, do not proceed.
Also, as you can see (or will shortly discover), this archive is still under construction so only very limited amount of documentation and functionality are available now. Hope this will be changed soon.
Ready to proceed? Then proceed (but with caution!)
I highly recommend to check the documentation provided in the links section. Hmm, no documentation, nothing? Maybe I completely forget to write it down - in my age, hmm, you know... Anyway I'm sure that I've placed there a good list of sources - related forum threads, particular posts, tables, tools and other external documents that in fact have served as the foundation of this archive. The most noticeable ones, yes. Or check again later - maybe this documentation will miraculously appear in place.
Provided (somewhere here) statistics can help you to estimate current progress of the archives. "Bubble" and "Colonia" tabs both contain all "Tip Off" missions destination locations we are aware about and their current status information. Also data about location type (crash site/settlement), maps (if available), dates of observations, evidences and related text messages "codes" can be found there. Pages are currently "static" (i.e. mostly the result of manual editing) except current status flags - they are based on the submitted data (no data=no status) and reflects states exclusively for the current "tick" (a week-long time interval between last and next server maintenance). "Active" means that the given site is available for visiting commander (always true for bases and only occasionally for crash sites and other wreckage), "absent" means there is nothing there, and both unset signifies that there is no data available. "TO valid" informs you that a commander has received a mission directing to this location and its deadline still not come to an end.
If you admire reading - check "messages" tab - there you'll find a complete collection of all unique messages ever received and submitted by commanders (in all possible game localisations). May be this will inspire you to write down your own story? Never be afraid to blaze your own way, Commander!
And finally, if you want to contribute to this archive, there are two types of data submission forms available. One for commanders who have just received a Tip Off mission in their mailbox ("Check-In" and refers to the text of that mission) and another ("Check-Out") for those who have just visited TO-related location, those forms are provided separately for both Bubble and Colonia (shortened variation of the first available for the Bubble for known destinations)

Special thanks:
Let me thank the authors of all TO-related threads on forums, discussions and their contributors that have served for me as first sources of valuable information and my own understanding of the subject - CMDR Panzertard as the author of the first ever “classic” TO-investigation back in 2016 "The Things are coming, we cannot stop them ... and we need your help!" (TAC) and accompanying spreadsheet by CMDR Teryd (EDTP), commented by images collected by Stephan Koskowski; all the participants of other related threads on Official Forums, Reddit and authors of other resources - all that were finally inherited by this project; Cannon Group Discord Server and its rich and long channel history.
My special bow to the commander Ian Doncaster and all his work - must mention all his “science” posts along the years (like the one mentioned in this page header in citation) and, as far as know, the creator and maintainer of Census (sites and Discord) - all TO locations in Colonia are far much better documented than in the Bubble.
Must thank EDCD members for all the tools they have created and continue to maintain, author of ExTool (EDET) CMDR Syleo - that source also served to discover a significant amount of otherwise undocumented sites.
Let me note that this project would be never started without a dedicated channel on Discord server maintained by Independent Raxxla Hunters (IRH) - thank you commander ScolioTheMost for inviting me there and all other participants of that investigation.
I was really impressed by the combined effort of CEC, ICU and EG groups, organised by commander naukogriz ("bravo" commanders Arunden, Requese,ShadowNUAR and others!) - it’s due to this effort the number of white spots reduces so fast those last weeks.
I know that Tip Off missions are not in the main trends for a long time. However there is at least one commander that still stays dedicated to them - commander Ironshirt, who even have his own original TO-related theories and the amount of his contribution to the archives is hardly possible to overestimate - it can be comparable to that of entire groups.
And I would like to say thanks to fellow circumnavigators, Alec Turner who still supports my frequent off-topics on club server, and especially to commander Rick6549 who have stitched up the hole in our recent dataset just at the very last moment and saved quite valuable data.
During my work on the present archive I’ve tried to track down data up to individual commanders whenever it was possible and created a special list. However it was not always the case and I'm sure that the real list of contributors to the resulted data must be much bigger than the published number.
And finally I can not forget to say thanks to FD team for all their work and personally Dominic Corner for his good sense of humor.
