C2014-02Reconfiguration of Multi-use Pathway (MUP) junction at Carling crossrideCrossride was built in 2014. Since its opening, the city was considering reconfiguring the north side to reduce interference between people waiting at signal and those passing through45.396963, -75.709026FixThe gap left for westbound cyclists turning right requires going through a 90cm gap between the signal box and the fence. Situation was being re-evaluated in 2015. Off-ramp thing is currently blocked with markers.
Latest proposal was to move the signal control box. Redesigning signal installation to comply with AODA and OTM Book 12. On hold due to spending freeze.

Heather rode 2016-10-31. Transition from SB Multi-use Pathway (MUP) to on-road bike lanes would be much-improved with flared asphalt to allow a more natural angle of entry. With no special intersection treatments, riding across intersections with other roads feels dangerous in both directions - concerned about being hit by a turning driver. When NB at night, glare from oncoming headlights is blinding - tall ornamental grass in the buffer strip is one option to mitigate this. Of course, I rode on the sidewalk at both ends of the Multi-use Pathway (MUP) to continue my trip on Greenbank.City page
