Tick-borne encephalitisTick-borne encephalitis (TBE) is a viral diseases that affects central nervous system. It can manifest as meningitis, encephalitis, or meningoencephalitis. TBE itself is cased by a virus in genus Flavivirus in the family Flaviviridae. TBEV has a number of hosts apart from humans, that include birds and other mammals such as horses and rodents.

Toxoplasmosis (Toxoplasma gondii)Toxoplasma gondii is a parasitic Alveolata that causes toxoplasmosis. T.gondii can infect virutally every species of mammals and birds, and it's spread worldwide. Lately, toxoplasmois has been linked to the onset of schizophrenia. This article should describe T.gondii, and disease it causes as well to investigate the relationship between toxoplasmosis and schizophrenia.

Nodding syndromeThe core feature of this neurological disorder is a repetitive forward bobbing of the head towards the chin of a variable length of time associated with other features such generalized epileptic seizures, psychiatric symptoms/signs, stunted growth, wasting and reduced sexual development, among others. Bickerstaff's Brainstem EncephalitisA rare post-infectious neurological condition classically characterized by a constellation of signs and symptoms including acute ophthalmoplegia, ataxia, and altered sensorium. Fungal brain infectionsApproximately 1.2 billion people suffer from fungal diseases worldwide. The most serious manifestation occurs when pathogenic fungi infect the brain. Among the most common causes of brain or meningeal infections are Cryptococcus neoformans, Candida albicans, Histoplasma capsulatum, Coccidioides immitis, Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, Aspergillus spp., and zygomycetes.
