Multicultural Student Services
a. Gain access to lists of students each semester who have incompletes and those that are financially ineligible (in addition to those that are academically ineligible).
b. Working with the Office of Institutional Research, streamline a process to gain information yearly on retention and graduation rates (from UWL and other institutions) of multicultural students.
a. Current Students: Support students that are financially ineligible by providing assistance with the financial aid appeal process and by informing them about other sources of funding.
b. Financially ineligible students who have been gone from UWL less than one year: Encourage such students to take action to resolve outstanding bills and/or loans that after one year would prevent them from returning to the university. Provide support and information for their reapplication to the university.
Assess the multicultural/disadvantaged student population to identify what additional group could benefit most from participation in a second cohort ASI experience. In other words, determine what the target student group would be for an expanded ASI program.
