•Provide programming for staff and students by bringing in professionals in a variety of fields from off-campus and other on-camps units
•Coaches recruit more student-athletes from diverse backgrounds
•Athletic Administration pursue and hire more staff members from diverse backgrounds
•Staff members must demonstrate modeling of positive behaviors
•Athletic Program must encourage intellectual exploration of diverse groups
•The Athletic Program must become more inclusive in planning events and activities
Activity: Performance of ATP (Awareness Through Performance) at the All-Sports Meeting that all student-athletes and staff attended in the fall.
Result: The feedback from students and staff was that it was the best and most appropriate programming that we have conducted in the past few years.
Activity: Attendance at the White Privilege Conference. The Athletic Program purchase a pass for the conference and permitted as many staff members to attend as could attend during the three day conference.
Result: Several staff members did take advantage of the opportunity to attend the conference who would not have done so without the admission fee paid for them.
Activity: Coaches have continued to recruit students from diverse backgrounds
Result: This fall we also hope to have the first Canadian student of color attending UW-L and participating in intercollegiate athletics, and one student from Norway
