Criteria 2: Background


Total Points:		The background is completely colored in. Color is taken all the way to the edge. It is done with care and does not look rushed. Artist applied mulitple layers to the background or added artistic elements.The majority of the background is colored in. Color is not taken all the way to the endges of the artwork. Medium is applied in a single layer. Some background elements were incorporated. Background is half colored in - partly looking unfinished or rushed. Minimal background elements were incorporated. No atempt was made to include a background. Or the background looks very rushed and sloppy.

Total Points:		The composition is acurately balanced (either symetrically or asymetrically). The artwork is cohesive and visually appealing.Composition is mostly balanced. The artwork has a clear impact, goal or message. And is visually appealing.Composition is somewhat balanced. The work has a limited impact. The elements included have little cohesion. The artwork is not balanced at all and has little to no visual appeal. The elements incorporated have no cohesion.
