TOWING WEIGHT CALCULATOR

This spreadsheet was found somewhere in some thread on airforums.com, perhaps some other site. Unfortunately I cannot give credit unless I can find it again. It has some modifications I've made (cosmetic and side-to-side weights). Otherwise, you may easily copy this to your own google spreadsheet and add your own entries. Some entries I didn't quite understand and left empty (primarily the several types of entries for "your hitch").

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prior to arriving at the scale, load both vehicles to maximum load conditions as you would normally travel with them. (full TV fuel, full propane, full water tank, all camping gear)

If you use a single platform scale instead of a three platform Cat Scale, you must move the vehicles as required to obtain individual measurements. (a minimum of separate 8 weighs)

When driving onto the scales make sure the wheels are positioned correctly on each of the three platforms.

If you have passengers, the passengers must remain inside the vehicle each time the vehicle is weighed, so that the weight is the same for each weigh.

Contact the weigh master either by using the intercom provided at the scale or walk inside and talk. Tell the weigh master each time when you are ready to weigh.
