Escape From Drakkenheim

A few weeks ago I listened to Mike Shea talk about running a Ravenloft "funnel" for Halloween. (Goodman Games has a bunch of these sort of adventures) And then one of my players in my newly started Drakkenheim campaign had written up an elaborate backstory which had his character escaping from Drakkenheim as the metor hit the city. As with peanut butter and chocolate, these two should go together quite well.

So, first thing, you need to generate many zero level characters. Player each get one off the stack. When one of them dies, discard and get another.

Players start at Market Square (approximate center of city). Could use the map and trace the route, or it may be easier to just set a time limit, at the end of that time the survivors reach the city gate and can escape.

The entire scenario will be run in initiative order, and it will just be one encounter after another (though only some of the encounters are hostile)

The game could be "scored" by counting the number of encounters and the number of dead characters.
