Thank you for your interest in the public consultation process for Version 2.0 of the Absolute Carbon Standard (ACS). The consultation period will last from Monday, November 24, 2025 through Thursday, December 25, 2025.

v2.0 introduces several major changes from v1.0 that are detailed in a new changelog found at the end of the document in Section 7. AC is seeking feedback on any major or minor feature of the standard. There is no minimum or maximum number of comments expected; any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. All comments will be considered by Absolute Climate and have responses posted publicly alongside the final version of the standard.

When providing feedback, we kindly request that you:

1) Focus comments on areas of improvement as opposed to areas where something is done well;

2) Provide justifications for comments including references where possible;
27
3) Limit each comment to a single, discrete concept or recommendation; and

4) Recommend specific improvements/language as opposed to providing value judgments (i.e., "this is fantastic/stupid").
