About the Study
2
The following spreadsheet contains the data from the Duke Reporters' Lab's analysis of 49 news organizations, focusing on how well they label their types of content. Each of our seven student researchers was assigned a group of organizations to study, and they entered data relating to the types of labels they encountered, how clear and consistent those labels were and how easy the labels were to spot. Students analyzed articles from five sections of each organization, including news, opinion and entertainment.

The raw data of this analysis can be viewed on the seven following sheets, located at the bottom of the page and labeled with the name of each student researcher.
