BandDacula High School offers classes for Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Percussion. Members of these classes combine along with the Color Guard to create Dacula Falcon Marching Band which practices after school and performs at football games as well as competitions. Black Appreciation and EducationDacula’s Black Appreciation and Education Club’s purpose is to help all students appreciate and support our black community and students, as well as educate the community about being black. The club’s mission is to raise awareness of the black perspective, and cultivate respectful, resourceful, and responsible leaders and conversation within our school community. We will focus specifically on voter education and registration, building community trust with local law enforcement, exploring traditional and non-traditional post-secondary education opportunities and career paths, and education of what it is like being black in America. Chemistry ClubThis club is designed to attract students interested in pursuing science degrees or medical school. While open to all, it is especially geared toward students who enjoy exploring practical experiments with real-world applications. Members will work in pairs to conduct predetermined chemistry experiments, primarily focusing on inorganic chemistry. In addition, a small component of organic chemistry will also be covered. To enrich the experience, industry professionals, either in person or via Zoom, will be invited to share their insights about careers in science and their experiences in industrial or corporate settings. We are members of the Georgia Association of Student Councils and currently serve on the GASC Executive Board. Our mission is to build passionate, well-rounded leaders and involved, committed citizens through school involvement, community outreach, and personal development. Student Council is in charge of the Falcon Food Nest, our local school food pantry that serves our students by providing a "weekend's worth of food" to those in need. WiSTEMWiSTEM (Women in STEM) is an inclusive club open to anyone interested in exploring the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—though it especially seeks to empower young girls pursuing STEM fields. Our mission is to educate members about the many facets of STEM, from diverse career paths to emerging research opportunities. Through exposure to different fields, hands-on learning, and meaningful discussions, WiSTEM helps students discover how they can contribute to STEM now and how they can use their passions to shape their futures.To join WiSTEM, students must be currently enrolled at Dacula High School. The club is open to all students, with a special focus on supporting young women interested in STEM fields. Young Health Advocacy NetworkThis club will promote student wellness by raising awareness about the dangers of tobacco, vaping, and substance abuse, supporting peers who want to quit, and encouraging healthy lifestyles. Through guest speakers, educational presentations, skill-building activities, and creative projects, the club will help students manage stress, achieve their goals, and express their voices.
