The purpose of this company roadmap is to provide transparency in what all areas of the business have planned to properly allocate resources and communicate with customers. Type in your departments and enter a starting month and ending month. The chart will update automatically. Enter your projects names in the far right. Each department or section is set up to include 8 initiatives for the year. More than this I find to get difficult to focus on but this is customizable and with some Excel skills you can adjust conditional formatting to include those. If you don't need the extra rows, just hide them by right clicking and then selecting hide.
