7/9/2016 20:41:28Riding west to east. About 35 miles in to the blue route the road is blocked due to fallen rocks. No passing it.

We tried to jump ahead via paved road and the green only to get onto private property and the green track disappeared into the woods with no sign of were it was.

Only option at that point was to have GPS route use to Glendale via pavement.
Green goes into gated, logging private property and then disappears.Jason

7/27/2016 14:15:46Red is closed - Gated. If you were to go around the gate, I would expect you could make it. But VERY Challenging. I am riding a KTM 350 with light bags.GT

7/27/2016 14:16:43From Port orford on green section ran in to significant difficulties. Ended up joining blue to get home. I am thinking kevin recorded this Green section quite some time ago. Man, do I have pictures.GT

9/8/2016 21:20:27Felt longer today, numerous climbs and drops with only minimal westward movement. Dang it
Alas we nailed the TAT.
You could run another ez path since asphalt is the terain for 50 miles. Asphalt continus if you go straight instead of turning onto dirt.Rocks lie cleared, sort of
A solid 16 inches wide with a 200 foot drop off.

9/15/2016 20:08:32East to west. The first 12 miles green. The rest blue.Long good pavement in the beginning. Forest tracks in the rest of the way. Landslide still partially blocking the blue route about 30 miles from finish. Backtracked 3 miles & got back on main route which rejoined the blue section. Some gravel climbs on the switchbacks. A good bit of washing of half the road for the last section.Eric J

6/4/2017 18:44:47Rode blue....see concernRode blue all the way. All open except a spot where fallen rocks cover all but 2 feet of the road near a cliff. Had to get off bikes and push them past. An ATV would not make it.N

6/25/2017 10:41:56The routes kinda disappear and reappear at various points on section 49 in the Natl Forrest. The Green route totally disappears; the logging companies frequently log different portions and open and close 'trails' based on their needs. The green route is a casualty of this. There are a variety of other nice small roads you can ride if you run out of trail like we did.Be prepared to deal with a lot of dead ends and big yellow metal road blocks. On the Green section, there is a gnarly hill climb that is very long and steep with loose rock. The hill is fine but be prepared if on a bigger bike.Josh

7/30/2017 21:37:36Lots of steady climbingRock Slide is located @
42* 41.45N 124* 2.789 or about
3.5 mile up NF-3343 coming off
NF-5520 (East to West travel)
Getting over the rocks is probably
easier than trying to walk a loaded bike
by/around the biggest boulder

7/30/2017 21:43:32Blue Trail was an easy day for a JeepHad to detour around the rock slide
and could have saved time by not
driving to the slide area to begin with.
Stay on NF-5520 to NF33 to bypass the slide,
hook up with the Blue trail again down the road.

8/19/2018 20:48:35On the blue trail, 68 miles in, downed trees block the trail. Had to take a side trail to connect to green then picked up the blue again at the next opportunity.

Then at 99 miles in, again on the blue trail, and again downed trees are blocking the trail. Took the first gravel road north which connected to the green trail and followed it the final 15 miles to Port Orford.

To ride down to the beach, turn at the Crazy Norwegian, then take a left. The road will take you down to the beach.
From the lookout point where we first came into town, saw whales spouting and breaching in the kelp beds near the rocks. txmxrider

4/18/2020 22:29:58The last part NF-3343 to NF-33 is close due rock slide, need to go to nf- 3348 Diego Tarquini

9/26/2021 15:37:26Lots of tarmac, even on the blue route.
Rock slide still exists! Simply double back about 2.4miles, go north, pick up the 33 and intercept the blue trail again. Not a big deal.
Red route on eastern side has locked gates. You could perhaps, maybe, squeeze by the most eastern but unlikely. Second gate is no chance. Majority of the blue route is unfortunately now been turned into hard top.
