According to the emission factors for Germany, the PM emissions from coke oven plants are not very relevant; hence the share of emissions from the sinter plant in the total emissions from the steel works only differ from 50% to 52%. Assuming a general share of sinter plant emissions of 50%, there would be not need to determine whether the individual steel plants include a coke oven plant or not. It would only be neccessary to distinguish integrated steel works from production sites that only comprise sinter plants and blast furnaces, i.e. where the produced hot metal is processed into steel at a different site or by a different operator (and hence reported separately in E-PRTR). In this case, the share of the sinter plant in total PM10 emissions from the site is 72%.
