M8/1/2011YesYesYesRun - 20Cravings are crazy!! Noting myself wanting desperately to eat out of boredom and procrastination; wondering if I can do this -- just trying to make it through the day!
8
T8/2/2011YesYesYesRun - 20Desperately wanting coffee this morning. Overall did well! Hungrier than usual, but I also feel better and more confident already. Still had major procrastination cravings. Watched WAY WAY WAY too much TV the last two days -- seriously, over 6 hours. Horrible! That's almost more than I watch in a month.
9
W8/3/2011YesYesYesRun - 20Ate a lot of fruit today - not sure if that's a bad thing. Still really wanting caffeine, but overall feeling good! Now just gotta keep the foods interesting...
10
Th8/4/2011YesYesYesDish walk - 60I am feeling so much better already!! More confident, less energy dips and mood swings, and my cravings have gone down SO much. I want to find a way to sustain this type of eating (with room for exception days) even after the Challenge.
11
F8/5/2011YesYesYesYoga - 60YogaAte a lot of fruit today, which I think is not great, but I'm okay with it. I actually ordered a smoothie and only ate half of it! That is SOOOO unlike me. My body wasn't eating emotionally - just until satisfied, now I'm saving the rest until tomorrow. Very proud of myself :)
12
Sa8/6/2011YesYesYesHike/Walk - 90Proud of myself for bringing cherries, almonds and dried cranberries to the movies. Feels great to be active and eating well. Thinking after the three weeks, I will add in 1-2 ch. days per week. Debating making today a ch. day, but I still want to wean my body off of everything.
13
Su8/7/2011SortaYesYesYoga - 90Yoga - 90*Ate a caramel - tasted way too sweet actually! Now regretting it...but the urge was there b/c I saw them in my house. BUT -- I've lost about 3-5 pounds! Not weighing myself every day, but definitely seeing improvement. Then later I opened the freezer to have a skinny cow for dessert, but resisted -- don't want my body to get back on a sugar kick! Ate soy noodles for a pasta substitute....those were interesting...in a slimy "what is this" kinda way :)
14
M8/8/2011YesYesYesRun - 20Yoga - 90Hot yoga (at 100 degrees)....killer! Jules - you would be proud :) It's still not my favorite, but I can see what you mean about the cleansing aspect. Had chicken kabobs for dinner -- nice to have a warm full on meal since I've been eating so much salad, almonds, fruit and protein shakes.
15
T8/9/2011YesYesYesRun - 20OMG LIGHTBULB. My SKIN is so much clearer now than when I started!! No new breakouts....this is HUGE.
16
W8/10/2011YesYesYesRun - 20Yoga - 75Status quo! Stress levels are SO much lower.
17
Th8/11/2011YesYesYesRun - 22Yoga - 60I fantasized about a nice big foamy latte ALL day because I knew I was meeting my dad for coffee. I had already decided to "cheat" with that today, but once I got up to the register I just didn't want to break my momentum! Glad I didn't actually. And fun "it's working" update: the woman at Nordstrom said, "You have the nicest figure! I'm so jealous." That made me feel really good -- I swear it's half the confidence.

Update: Ate too much for dinner - feel WAY over full. Hate that! Have generally been good about stopping when full, but need to pay more attention.
18
F8/12/2011YesYesYesYoga - 60Even though I'm not doing this for the scale...I was secretly hoping I'd have lost a little more weight. Trying to be patient. Can't wait to add coffee back in!
19
Sa8/13/2011YesYesYesYoga - 120I fit into my jeans!!!!! So exciting. Did a two hour yoga workshop which felt great, but got waaay too hungry and didn't plan my meals/timing well, so I completely overate at PF Changs to the point of feeling sick :( then ate even more when I got home! But proud of still sticking to cleanse approved foods even while everyone else was drinking.
20
Su8/14/2011YesYesNoNeed to stop eating raisins...they're too sweet and I can FEEL the sugar in my body. Plus it makes me want to eat more...like candy. Been eating too many almonds when I need a break from working too. GAH! Must be a time o' month phase since I feel like eating the whole kitchen.
21
M8/15/2011YesYesYesRun - 20Yoga - 90These morning runs are so important for my SANITY. I really need to remember that next time I get out of this routine. The afternoon yoga is a total savior too. I am just SO much happier AND more productive when I make these two things (and healthy eating) a priority. Biggest lesson learned of this cleanse, by far.
22
T8/16/2011YesYesYesRun - 20Yoga - 90
23
W8/17/2011YesYesYesRun - 20I forgot to pack snacks for the flight, so I spent SO much money trying to find healthy airport food -- fruit, almonds and salad. I did it though! Normally I eat terribly at airports (and on flights)
24
Th8/18/2011YesYesYesRun-15; walk-45In Chicago -- definitely craving coffee and wishing I had dessert in my hotel room, but mostly out of habit. Still feeling great, wondering what to do at the WINE social tomorrow night (oy!). Probably won't drink...
25
F8/19/2011YesYesYesElliptical - 30Nothing new to report! Feeling great -- healthy, confident, awake, happy.
26
Sa8/20/2011YesYesNoNoticing way more energy throughout the day -- no more crazy dips like when I was on the caffeine cycle.
27
Su8/21/2011NoNoNoCheat Day -- speech went off without a hitch!!! Felt so alive, awake, confident and sharp up there. Ended the cleanse with aplomb -- had deep dish Chicago pizza for dinner and it was INCREDIBLE!!! Had champagne for dessert and immediately felt my mood sink into a depressive, tired state. NO GOOD. Not worth it!

M8/22/2011YesNoYesElliptical - 60Had coffee today and definitely noticed WAY more of an energy dip at 1pm. So interesting! Led to me having another one in the late afternoon. So easy to make it a crutch! Felt GREAT to sweat it out on the elliptical at the gym this morning to make up for last night's indulgance.
31
T8/23/2011YesYesYesRun - 20Business as usual! Woke up at 5:30am which I actually really liked. If only I could stay on that schedule!
32
W8/24/2011YesNoYesRun - 20Yoga - 60Had a cappuccino in the afternoon -- a foamy one! Feel fine making exceptions for that stuff. LOVING that I'm staying on the cleanse...actually worried about going crazy on cheat days! Seems like it will reverse all my progress, but at the same time it seems important to indulge so I don't go on a crazy binge someday.
33
Th8/25/2011SortaYesYesRun - 20Yoga - 60*Had Benihana dinner -- the foods were technically on my plan, but had so much butter and oil. Chicken, veggies, salad, soup and rice.
34
F8/26/2011YesNoYesDish Walk - 60Yoga - 60
35
Sa8/27/2011YesNoNoDAY OFFAte too much at breakfast -- even though the foods were on my list, I had to much and I felt sick for the next few hours. Eating so cleanly has made it really obvious when I eat foods that don't agree (and I don't think the coffee is helping). I did spring out of bed at 6am -- LOVE that feeling of uber-productivity in the morning. Wrote four guest blog posts!
36
Su8/28/2011Final result: lost about ~12 pounds overall! Feel AMAZING -- definitely keeping this up...
