26 | Step 2: Examine Links Using a link explorer of your choice like Ahrefs, CognitiveSEO or Open Site Explorer (SEOprofiler is free), export competitor linking domains for each competitor URL and copy/paste them into the slots provided below. If there are duplicates, you can remove them using the "Remove Duplicates" Spreadsheet Add-on. Do this for each column. Next, copy links from each slot and paste into the Total Links column. Finally, we want to find shared competitor links. To do this, select all links within the Total Links column and use the "Remove Duplicates" Add-on to move duplicate values to a custom location (top cell in Shared Links column). Now you're left with 1) A massive list of unique links across 5 high ranking competitors in "Total Links" and 2) A number of prospects that are shared between 2 or more high ranking competitors. | ||||||
