4
Big MagicElizabeth GilbertNon Fiction - Art2883 of 3 - 2022Audiobook (Audible)A bit piffy but I really enjoyed it. I try to read 1-2 of these motivational art books a year to try to keep myself excited about creating. This did the job.

6
DevolutionMax BrooksFiction - Sci Fi3042 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Have I heard every Max Brooks book? I don't know why. This book was almost a 1 for me. Very very meh. You pretty much can guess everything that will happen within the first hour. Even for bigfoot lovers this one probably wont be worth it.
7
Enemies Within: Inside the NYPD's Secret Spying Unit and bin Laden's Final Plot Against America
Matt Apuzzo, Adam GoldmanNon Fiction - Government3362 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Interesting enough book. Got it because it has a little section on Ali the MMA fighter manager. Ended up learning a lot about a NYPC department. Entertaining enough.
8
Extremely OnlineTaylor LorenzNon Fiction - Internet3842 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Interesting book. Mostly because it really shows you how cylical social media companies are and how they have all been ads driven other than a brief period where they were VC funded. Feels like it misses a chance at the end to draw some type of conclusion though. Is this all good? Bad? Neither? Just kinda fizzels to the end.
9
Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation
Kristin Kobes Du MezNon Fiction - Religious3842 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Pretty good book. Fun to have an overview from the outside of something it feels like I grew up inside of.
10

12
Rainbow SixTom ClancyFiction - War912* 3 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Almost a *3. First Tomy Clancy book I've read. Very good. So long. I see why people are into them. Is it bad that I thought the eco terrorists were in the right? I'd check out another tom clancy book in the future. Maybe on a plane or something.

14
The Freeze Frame RevolutionPeter WattsFiction - Sci Fi3 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Surprised at how much I enjoyed this. I really struggled to finish Blindsight even though I enjoyed the concepts. This one is much more enjoyable. The characters are actually interesting. Fun ideas. Interested in reading more Watts now.

16
The Hunger GamesSuzanne CollinsFiction - Fantasy3843 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Fun book. The movies pretty much nail this was at least. Really no divergence. But I'll finish them and probably read the prequal one as well. I liked that new movie a lot.
17
The Player of GamesLain BanksFiction - Sci Fi4163 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Pretty fun world. I guess this is he second book in the series but it didnt seem like I was missing anything. Funny how the book is about a game but it doesnt care about showing you the game at all. I probably wont coninue with these but I enjoyed them.

22
Twelve Steps and Twelve TraditionsAnonymousSelf Improvement1921 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Good lord. I am so glad I didnt try to get sober by reading this book. It's just not very good. It jerks off AA a lot and doesnt do a lot to talk about how to be or stay sober other than trust AA because AA is the best. Mostly got this because I saw some lady readying it on the plane and I thought it might be good. Nope. Oh and they say AA has helped 3 million people become sober. That.... Isnt a lot? Idk feel like as a culture AA gets a lot of credit for 1% of the population.over 70 years.

Without RemorseTom ClancyFiction - War6393 of 3 - 2023Audiobook (Audible)Great book. I wasnt sure I'd enjoy it but it really delivers. Not quite as good as Rainbox Six but still very enjoyable. Female characters are not... Great. But what can you really exspect from a Tom Clancy novel in that department? Going to try some of the Jack Ryan books.

Home, Siege Home: A LitRPG/Gamelit Adventure 6Eric UglandFiction - Fantasy2 of 3 - 2024Audiobook (Audible)Least favorite in the series so far, mostly because it feels like the boring base building part of a video games. Or at least the part that is boring for anyone not doing it. But it seems like the authoer realized that and is sending our character out at the end of this one to do some more adventuring. Will probably take a break but will come back to these when i need more quick fun reads

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff... and It's All Small StuffRichard CarlsonSelf Improvement2722 of 3 - 2021Audiobook (Audible)Okay book. I read it because it's often talked about. It felt more like a list of 100 things that might make you happier or stress less than a real book. Like a long bullet point blog. May be more helpful if you haven't read a lot of self help books.

My Life In FranceJulia ChildNon-Fiction - Autobiography3683 of 3 - 2021Audiobook (Audible)Julia Child is great. A fun book. Honestly I don't know if I would recommend anyone reading unless they really love her or they wanted more info than Julia and Julia gave them. The biggest disappointment is that it's not read by Julia Child.

The Dresden Files - Book 16 - Peace TalksJim ButcherFiction - Fantasy3523 of 3 - 2020Audiobook (Audible)I thought the stakes were small in this entry compared to previous books until the last 1/4th of the book. Looks like this book is setting up a much grander second book. I can't remember if any of the previous books directly set up the next book outside of the normal callbacks but it’s an interesting step for the series. I've caught up so I'm listening in real-time which works a little better than marathoning the books. The series has and always will likely suffer from the issue of there always needing to be a bigger and badder villain. Once again Chicago is in trouble. In a few years, we will find out how it’s saved.
82
The Dresden Files - Book 17 - Battle GroundJim ButcherFiction - Fantasy4323 of 3 - 2021Audiobook (Audible)I keep saying I'm going to stop reading these books. Are they perfect? No. Do I get invested once I start one? Yup. This one delivered after a whole book of build up. Some characters actually died. We will see if they come back or not.
