88 | Leadership | Jaguar Scholars Leadership Program (JSLP) | The Jaguar Scholars Leadership Program (JSLP) was founded in the spring of 2017 by, history teacher, Mr. Jerome Price. The mission of JSLP is to build the leadership capacity for its members and to bridge the achievement gap for minority students across the county. JSLP fosters mentorship opportunities for its African American and Latino students at Richard Montgomery High School through field-trips, like meeting Congressman John Lewis, and leadership opportunities, like mentoring students from Twinbrook Elementary School. Membership into JSLP is a very prestigious opportunity for ninth through eleventh-grade students with a 3.0 grade-point average or higher. JSLP has had opportunities to meet with many important leaders in the community and the nation.
