This model is meant to offer basic examples for some key aspects of ESOP planning. It contains 4 tabs:

Grant Value Summary. With this tab, you can:

- Select whether to the size of the grant is determined by a percent of company or number of shares based on the employee's 'level' (see deck for considerations) using the 'Scenario selection' box
- Calculate the size of an individual grant in terms of number of shares and monetary value to the employee

Input relevant grant terms in blue. Grant Detail box will display the size and value of the grant for the employee
Use the Budget Summary box to vizualize the grant in the context of other (simple) immediate hiring plans

Initial Grant Vesting. With this tab, you can:

- Select the vesting schedule for an employee's hire grant using the 'Scenario selection' box
- Visualize the quarterly (and abridged monthly) vesting schedule for an employee grant

Input relevant grant terms in blue and select the duration of vesting to see the vesting by month or quarter in the appropriate output box

Refresh Vesting. With this tab, you can:

- Select the vesting schedule for an employee's refresh grant(s) using the 'Scenario selection' box
- Visualize the annual impact on of refresh terms and schedules on an employee's equity vesting

Input relevant grant terms in blue and select the appropriate vesting schedule for each. The annual vesting of each individual grant and the cumulative vesting of all entered grants will populate in the Vesting Schedule box.
