Audition Directions: Everyone should use the PDF of the libretto provided for reference. Each character audition is this Excel document provided. For each excerpt find the song, page found IN THE PDF (libretto link), measure numbers, a link to the backing track, and a time stamp to find where to start. Some tracks are a little tricky, so I tried to spell out exactly what is happening. For anyone interested in auditioning for urchins or ensemble, there are practice tracks for each voice. Urchins, for the initial audition, sing the part for which you would most like to be considered. If you receive a call back, you should know each part because we will mix and match to find the best group sound. Ensemble tracks are for the end of Skid Row. To simplify, there is only a low, middle and high track, even though it goes into 6-part harmony. Notice there are 2 staves, one for solos, and one for ensemble. You should sing the “Downtown” part on the lower staff.
