Latin American Cooking and Culture (Ms. Vegas and Ms. Fererra)

Guitar: Intro (Dave Anthony)

The joys of music. My method for teaching guitar gets students playing songs on the first day. We use tools and technology such as the popular app “Yousician,” and learn to read tablature and simple classical music notation. The first lesson starts with keeping time by clapping and dancing to Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mr. Blue Sky.” We next learn the names of parts of the guitar, how to tune and hold the instrument in our laps, and what tablature is.
