Can't stress enough how important the section bank was. I only prepared for about a month (but took physiology, biochemistry, and psychology in the semester right before my MCAT date) and section bank was most like the actual thing. I went through each question at least twice. Also, I felt like actual crap walking out of the testing center and was convinced I got lower than 510. Don't get too down or hard on yourself!!!

Used a Kaplan Online Self-Paced Course and thought it was useful. However, the practice tests are so unrepresentative of the real thing I would be cautious when trying to analyze your score. The reason why I'm filling in this sheet is because I was always so nervous about my Kaplan FLs. Be sure to do the AAMC stuff and know the section bank!

Be good at interpreting experiments. I felt after the test that the AAMC FL's were not representative of the actual exam and that I did worse, but I ended up doing better than I thought because I have experience interpreting experimental results. Read some journal articles! Khan Academy was a big help for PsychSoc.

I almost exclusively did content review for the first couple of months of studying. For the last 2 months, I worked through questions and passages while timing myself. I interspersed full practice tests throughout this time. I spent a lot of time reading explanations of questions I got wrong or was not sure about, (especially aamc material). I reviewed areas that I found myself weak in and I kept a document with a list all the facts that I found difficult to remember or got a question wrong about. I continuously added to this word doc and periodically reviewed from there (especially night before real test). I also made many summary sheets of key topics and concepts eg. metabolic pathways, action potential graphs, periodic trends, various models in psych etc..

I read EK for C/P and B/B then studied from and annotated a Reddit user's P/S Khan Academy study guide. No CARS prep. Honestly, that typed up guide was a life-saver.

I studied from after finals (December 18) to when I took the test (January 22) for around 10 hours a day. I did content review for a little over a week and just did practice tests after that.

I used Kaplan for my biochem and psych prep - I found them both very thorough! I supplemented this with EK, Khan Academy and leah4sci videos, all of which were very helpful. I took my AAMC FL's about a week and a half before my actual test date.

-Know your weaknesses and tackle those with kahn videos. take notes on a word doc
-Make a word doc for chem/phys, bio, and psych/soc sections and bullet what you missed
on each wrong question when you review a FL
-It's really not a test about what you know. Spend less time on content and more on practice.
don't let long or difficult passages in the CARS section slow you down. Learn to pace

I used ExamKrackers and The Berkeley Review to complement Kaplan. TBR was by far the best study resource I used (aside from AAMC) because I think it challenged me to really know the information and think critically. Also they have a TON of PBQs.

Khan Academy videos for overall review. AAMC also has a nice psych review on their website.

I took the TPR Ultimate class. I attended all of the classes except for the CARS and a couple of the physics because I didn't feel like I needed to spend my time working on those sections. I started studying in September and took the Jan 23rd MCAT. Overall, I found TPR to be really helpful (and overwhelming) for both content and tests and didn't use any other outside materials. I took the two AAMC practice tests and did a couple of the chemistry Q pack questions, but overall didn't utilize AAMC as much as I should have.

Used Berkeley 2010 edition biology book for review. Watched Khan academy psych/sociology videos for review as most review books are lacking in a few areas. Khan academy for physics (optics, fluid mechanics, electricity and magnetism) and some gen chem topics. TPR for everything else. Reviewed AAMC section bank (the bio and chem/physics were extremely helpful). I made sure to write down all of the topics and types of questions that I got wrong in my practice exams that way I could focus my last few weeks of studying on my weak spots. Also I always tried to get a good night's sleep!
