These are the notes from the people who presented their ideas during our Inno/Vention Kickoff & TeamHunt (Spring 2014). Please feel free to reach out as appropriate. Keep in mind that most of these are very early stage ideas, not established startups (they need your help to become that).

Long Post (Click to Read): People who are looking to host an event, anything ranging from a rock concert to a corporate dinner, more often than not look for event management companies to do all the work. Presently, there is no way to search for these companies having experience in a specific kind of event. Generally, you just hear about company "XYZ" and you ask them to help you host an event and they can charge you any arbitrary amount.
On the other end of the spectrum, there are small start-up event management companies who do not have the right platform to advertise and ask for help with any issues.
My solution to both the problems is putting up a website where the companies are registered with the list of events they have put up, services they offer, kind of events they are looking forward to, references, etc. Anybody on the website should be able to search by event type, location, budget.
web developers, designers (to design the web pages) and anybody who can give any insight on the working of event management companies
