3185016690To calculate an existing character's total experience, you must find the sum total XP contributed by each skill. To create a character at a certain level, you do the same, except it is kept simpler by having multiple skills at the same rank.

3697521190That is, if all 18 skills are at a different rank, then you'd have to add up 18 different parameters. Take the level 1 calculation above on the other hand, where 12 skills are at 15, 5 at 20, and 1 at 25, and you have only three additive parameters in the equation. Much simpler. Use Google, as shown by the below link, to do the math. Somebody should bind some sliders to this conversion, make a GUI, but for now...

44117529690"Veterans" are pre-built characters, skilled in tune with the limitations of their level's experience requirements. They may as well be a natural born character, and the game treats them as if they were.

50132537115Characters hit Level 30 at 15,865 Experience. To create a level 30 character from scratch, formulate a skill distribution with a total approaching 15,865 XP. For reference, it took 800 XP to get from level 29 to 30, and level 30 ends 825 XP later at 16,690 Total Experience for Level 31. Veteran builds are more focused than naturally grown characters, which makes them more powerful in certain respects.

57
55145043990 There is no harm in making a Level 30 Veteran who has only 15,500 Experience, or less.
58
56147545440
59
57150046915The totals are what regular characters would have, and are useful for making veteran builds comparable in capabilities to naturally aged characters. But the game doesn't worry about totals. The game only worries about the XP requirement to the next level (Delta in the table). That means it is possible to have higher or lower skills than a level 30 character should technically have, and still be level 30 going on 31. Your character will continue to age gracefully. Higher XP means higher Skill Ranks which means more powerful characters resulting in less challenging game-play. When making your veteran build, avoid the pitfall of the overpowered. That's what this table is for.
