NOTES
37
*All courses taken for the major must be taken for a letter grade if that option is offered by the instructor.
38
*Minimum Combined GPA for all courses in Engineering Topics (Engineering Fundamentals and Depth courses) is 2.0.
39
*Transfer credits in Math, Science, Fundamentals, & TIS must be approved by the SoE Dean's office. Transfer credits in Engineering Depth must be approved by the Department. Transfer credit information and petitions are available at https://ughb.stanford.edu/transfers-ap-exceptions/transfer-requests. AP/IB/GCE test credit can be confirmed by checking your MAP math, science, and/or Fundamentals categories.
40
*All courses listed on this form must only be included under one category. Delete courses not taken.
41
( 1 )MATH 21 is not skippable using the math placement exam. If CME 100 or MATH 51 is completed with a grade of C or better, students without AP/IB credit may petition to waive 6 units math (Math 19/20) in the program.
42
( 2 )It is recommended that the CME series (100, 102, 104) be taken rather than the MATH series (51, 52, 53). If you are taking the MATH series, it is strongly recommended to take CME 192: Introduction to MATLAB.
43
( 3 )AP Physics C credit may be used but assumes placement into PHYSICS 43/45 via the Physics Diagnostic, taken prior to entering SU Aut quarter. AP/IB/GCE test credit can be confirmed by checking your MAP math, science, and/or Fundamentals categories.
44
( 4 )For a list of alternative approved TiS courses, see the AA program page of the SU Bulletin. The course must be on the approved list the year you take it.
