| Timestamp | What do you want to see in the last few weeks? What do you want to think about or do for the remainder of the semester? What would you prefer to see from me, or what would you like to see less of?

| 11/4/2018 10:40:46 | I think the core set of readings we have is good! I would like to see more optional readings (or as we start projects, suggested readings based on where our project is going). Even if we don't have a group project, it might be interesting to meet with a group of other students outside of class for discussion/unsticking/critique. I really appreciate the lectures where we attempt to make sense of emerging tech, especially as we move to choose project topics for a longer project. I like discussion of the readings but I feel that somehow reading discussion hasn't been quite as effective as it could be. I can't really put my finger on why.
| 11/5/2018 17:09:02 | Would like to see more of: Maybe more guidance in how to approach making art or something creative, like idea generation for the actual final result instead of the general idea/message behind it. I am curious about what new ideas currently exist in terms of changing the internet or any of the frameworks related to it (thinking along the lines of the whole dispossession by surveillance think that came up during class once). Also I want to know more about your work and all the wonderful knowledge you have gained in your research, share share.
| 11/6/2018 2:32:01 | I joined this class because I wanted to see another approach to emerging technologies and technological dissemination in particular. Perhaps we can look at the academic/scholarly aspects of technological dissemination in society and analyze it as well as look at different ways artists have looked at different phenomena in this realm.
| 11/6/2018 9:29:51 | The projects so far have pretty much been sprints, and I don't feel that I've had enough time (lack of inspiration also contributes to this) on any one project to make something I'm actually proud of. I'd like to dive in deeper with more time on one project to make something I'd be excited to show people.
| 11/6/2018 13:56:02 | im not sure, I want to do something cool though......
| 11/6/2018 17:01:58 | It could be nice to hear a few examples of the process that you went through when making some of the works that you've made, since a) hearing you talk about your work is really encouraging and b) it could help show us ways to pursue projects that we aren't taught in other classes. I am really curious to see how you change the "tone" for these last handful of weeks, I think there are so many ways that this new tone could push new, interesting ideas. One of the thoughts that I have for what could be useful is to have some sort of exercise for us to feel through and identify what we are interested in. It might feel a little hand-hold-y, but I think you could do it in a way that just helps us synthesize through what has struck us from the past semester or from our technological lives. I really appreciate the lectures that you've given, and look forward to any lectures that are planned for the future. One thing that I do want to see from you is the kind of thing that we skipped on the week before the first project, when we had the option to choose between worktime and an activity abt google search data. I'm curious to see some more activities that you have come up with, be those reflective or educational or for an experience or whatever!

| 11/6/2018 21:02:42 | more viewing and critique of artists' works
| 11/6/2018 21:23:50 | I enjoy viewing other people's art, because I believe it helps give me inspiration on my project. Similarly, I like our discussions on emerging technology and how you challenge us to look at things, e.g. the internet, in unique ways,
| 11/6/2018 21:50:34 | I've responded saying that I want more of everything. I'm always so excited to get to class and have meaningful discussions on technology and art, because that's what I wanted out of this class. I would love to see more of everything and I'm okay with that being accomplished by eliminating class time to work on projects. I really enjoy the discussions we have and it's always nice to have time for the lengthy talks where we can debate and learn. I always go away from those discussions feeling so satisfied with what I've learned.
| 11/7/2018 0:07:55 | I don't really know. I've been enjoying the class a lot though!
| 11/7/2018 7:08:22 | I've been generally liking things so far. I'd like an opportunity to receive and integrate feedback into an artwork; presenting at the end garners opinions about your work, but no way to act on them. The use of class time and assignments feel appropriate. I do still have a feeling like I'm missing something central, some single tie-together theme or formula, but I believe that is the nature of the course and its topics.
| 11/7/2018 9:46:13 | I liked the course for now, the balance is good between all the fields studied. I’m opened to all subjects of discussion.
| 11/7/2018 10:10:39 | I would like to see some of your work! It would be interesting to see what you have done. I want to think more about the implications of these art pieces as well. It would be interesting to think how art pieces like this may influence people and how they may be used.
| 11/7/2018 10:38:30 | I appreciate the use of class time as a whole - how discussion-driven classtime usually is and how you're always seeking student input to drive the conversation and build any conclusions we come to. As shown above, I also think there's a good balance between discussion of artworks, emerging tech, etc. My main "I wish" for this class is that we had more class time. Maybe meeting twice a week, 2 hours or so at a time could offer the chance for a little more focus and depth per class session without losing steam throughout our time together, and more readings in between. With that said, I stand by my earlier appreciation of your use of class time and work to keep the energy up throughout it. Also, I love the readings and would appreciate seeing more optional readings each week. There's usually a reasonable required amount, but I also usually find the topic interesting and want more, even if to revisit in the future.
| 11/7/2018 11:49:06 | I find the class discussions stimulating, but they tend to end abruptly and are largely restricted to just those few hours on Wednesday. The readings could possibly bridge this gap between sessions, but I feel there might be a better way of facilitating this than through the current format of writing a blog piece/response. I think it would be interesting if we could respond to readings through annotations that others in the class could also see and respond to. This would open up more channels for exchanging ideas and receiving feedback on them. We could explore Perusall (perusall.com) for this. I also feel the creative projects are a little disjointed from the course discussions and readings. I appreciate the broad scope, but I feel the jump from an idea in class to an artistic response is pretty large. We might be able to learn a lot more if we start on the next project a little earlier and go through multiple iterations of ideation and experimenting to refine the final result and receive periodic feedback on our analysis, decisions, and a general sense of what's working or not and why.
